WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man accused of sexually assaulting two women in April is now behind bars.
U.S. Marshals arrested Wesley Cunningham, 27, at Sam’s Club on College Road in Wilmington around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Wilmington Police Spokesperson Cathryn Lindsay says the first crime happened April 9, but the adult female victim didn’t report it until June 1. Cunningham is charged with 2nd degree sexual offense in that case.
Lindsay says the second incident happened on April 30 in the 300 block of S. Kerr Ave. and involved a 19-year-old female. Cunningham is charged with 2nd degree rape in this case.
Cunningham is in jail under a $200, 000 bond.
